The Most Eye-Catching Accessories at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2024

One of the world’s most highly-anticipated fashion spectacles, Milan Fashion Week never fails to surprise us with brands that showcase exquisitely curated offerings of bags, shoes, and accessories. This season, our favorite luxury brands wowed us with new takes on classic handbag styles and statement pieces of all sizes and colors. Take a look at some of our favorite bags from the Spring ready-to-wear collections of Gucci, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, and more.

Gucci Spring 2024 by Sabato de Sarno

This season’s most anticipated debut saw Gucci Creative Director Sabato de Sarno
unveiling his freshman collection for the brand.
Marking a strong contrast to the Michele era of over the top design,
de Sarno and his team showcased a collection of
wearable ready-to-wear pieces —
Gucci has officially gone back to basics.
Versatile and commercial-minded, we’re betting ‘Gucci Ancora’
will be everywhere, from the streets to the covers, in no time.
Some of our favorite pieces from the highly-anticipated show
included a red patent leather Jackie shoulder
handbag and different Bamboo 1947 bags ideal for evening wear.

Prada Spring 2024 by Raf Simons

In Raf Simons’ words, Prada’s latest runway show was all about
demonstrating the Italian label’s craftsmanship.
From fringe ready-to-wear pieces and leather tote bags
to metal studding and detailing of different kinds and crystals,
this collection is sure to produce more than a couple of conversation starters.
We already have our eyes on a ruched leather handbag
with an eye-catching mythological creature clasp —
inspired by a 1913 design by Miuccia Prada’s own grandfather.

Fendi Spring 2024 by Kim Jones

Perhaps one of this season’s best prêt-à-porter collections,
Fendi SS 2024 brought the retro vibes we didn’t know we needed.
From well-tailored dresses to colorblock handbags and shoes,
every piece was reminiscent of Jones’ personal inspiration:
his morning Roman route to work.
Highlights from the exciting show include new iterations of the coveted Multipocket Baguette,
colorful Fendi First clutches —
and a brand new origami-inspired crossbody chain pouch.

Bottega Veneta Spring 2024 by Matthieu Blazy

Once again, Matthieu Blazy has proven two things.
First, that Bottega Veneta’s strength lies in its ability to craft impeccable leather handbags.
Second, that the Italian brand is in good hands.
Drawing inspiration from all corners of the world, Blazy and his team
presented an array of leather “straw” basket bags ideal for vacationing, colorful intrecciato suitcases,
and more sophisticated leather pieces worth swooning over.
